Sports

Never let good enough BE enough!

Sport (British English) or sports (American English) includes all forms of competitive physical activity or games which, through casual or organised participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment to participants, and in some cases, entertainment for spectators. Sport is generally recognised as system of activities which are based in physical athleticism or physical dexterity, with the largest major competitions such as the Olympic Games admitting only sports meeting this definition. a number of competitive, but non-physical, activities claim recognition as mind sports.

Sport is usually governed by a set of rules or customs, which serve to ensure fair competition, and allow consistent adjudication of the winner. Records of performance are often kept, and for popular sports, this information may be widely announced or reported in sport news.

High-speed, memory, imagination

The abacus (plural abaci or abacuses), also called a counting frame, is a calculating tool that was in use in Europe, China and Russia, centuries before the adoption of the written Hindu–Arabic numeral system. For any particular abacus design, there usually are numerous different methods to perform a certain type of calculation, which may include basic operations like addition and multiplication, or even more complex ones, such as calculating square roots. Some of these methods may work with non-natural numbers (numbers such as 1.5 and 3⁄4).Although today many use calculators and computers instead of abacuses to calculate, abacuses still remain in common use in some countries and they are still used to teach arithmetic to children.

Extra Curricular Activities

Extracurricular activities are programs that:

  • are not part of the regular school curriculum; and,
  • are structured around an activity, goal, or purpose

Also known as extra-academic activities, extracurricular activities include sports, student government, community service, employment, arts, hobbies, and educational clubs. Extracurricular activities all complement an academic curriculum. While these activities can be structured by age group, such as high school programs, they aren’t always. For example, your teen might volunteer with a local charity or have a part-time job.
